DAY01 Arrive Chennai

Arrive CHENNAI-Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to hotel. On arrival check in HOTEL-Rest of the day free Chennai (formerly Madras is the capital city of the Indian state Tamil Nadu. Located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal, it is the biggest industrial and commercial centre in South India, and a major cultural, economic and educational centre. Chennai architecture is a confluence of many architectural styles. From ancient Dravidian temples built by the Pallavas, to the Indo-Saracenic style of the colonial era, to 20th-century steel and chrome of skyscrapers. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY02 Chennai-Mahabalipuram

After b/fast enjoy a sightseeing tour, visiting Fort St George, San Thome Cathedral, the National Art Gallery and the Government Museum. Next, travel to Dakshinachitra - a unique heritage centre for the living traditions of art, craft and architecture of India.Afterwards journey to Mahabalipuram, once the main port of the Pallava Kingdom and now a UNESCO World Heritage site, this ancient city showcases some of India's finest rock-cut art and architecture.Mahabalipuram lies on the Coromandel Coast which faces the Bay of Bengal. This is an elegant place to watch which a well established sea port was during the 7th and 10th centuries of the Pallava dynasty. This was the second capital of the Pallavas who ruled Kanchipuram. Formerly, mahabalipuram was known and called as Mahabalipuram. The former name of this place ‘Mahabalipuram’ has a history.On arrival check in Hotel Afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram which includes, Arjuna Penance,Shore temple and Five Rathas.

Mahabalipuram was the earlier name of Mamallapuram because the demon king Mahabali was killed by Lord Vishnu. DAY03 Mahabalipuram – Kancheepuram - Thiruvannamalai

After breakfast as proceed for to visit Kancheepuram and drive to Thiruvannamalai. Kanchipuram is known as the "city of a thousand temples". The 192 feet high temple tower of Ekamabaranadhar temple and the 100-pillar mandabam (building) in Varadaraja Perumal temple in this town are famous, and are considered marvels of the architectural techniques of the Vijayanagara dynasty. The British Viceroy Robert Clive, who is responsible for the British rule in India, had exclaimed the architectural techniques of Varadharaja perumal temple and presented a fabulous jewelry to this temple. Today, apart from its temples, this city is famous for Silk sarees  etc. then drive to Thiruvannamalai Check in at the Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel

DAY04 Visit Thiruvannamalai

Thiruvannamalai is an ancient temple town in TamilNadu with a unique historical back ground. It is one of the holy town that finds a place in the poems written by reputed Tamil saivaite poets.(padal petra sthalam). Several important facts are found in the stone inscriptions in the walls of temple prakarams. Also many details were available through inscriptions found on the copper plates.After B/Fast sightseeing tour of Thiruvannamalai for visiting Ramana Mahirshi Ashram, Arunachaleswar Temple, Gingee Fort, Sathanur Dametc Ramana Maharishi Ashram Tiruvannamalai is also synonym to Saint Ramana Maharishi as it is to Lord Arunachalaeswarar. Ramana Maharishi was born in a simple and poor family at a small village near Madurai. He was born in the year 1879 on 30th December.Saint Ramana Maharishi’s teachings drew many people towards him and today after 58 years after his nirvana there are millions of followers.

Arunachaleswarar Temple They are Thevaram and Thiruvasagam. Arunagirinathat has also written beautifully about the history of Thriuvannamalai and this Lord Arunachalaeswarar temple. The ancient kings starting from the Chola Dynasty period read from the Tamil works and started reposing more faith on Lord Arunachalaeswar. They started contributing their share by constructing many Gopuram, mandapams, and shrines. Making steady additions to the temple structure over the last one thousand years. During the reign of King Krishnadevarayar of Vijayanagaram According to the history of Thiruvannamalai, this temple is the largest temple in India built exclusively for Shiva and Parvathi. Hence it is believed that there is no temple for Brahma any where in India. Thus at Thiruvannamalai Lord Shiva came to be worshipped by devotees in the form of fire. And it is one of the pancha bootha sthalas in Tamilnadu.

Gingee fort is a very famous landmark for pilgrims visiting Lord Arunachaleswarar temple at Tiruvannamalai. This fort is believed to be built during the Chola dynasty some where in the 13th century A.D. Gingee fort occupies an extent of 3 square kilometer area. It is regarded as a rare architectural marvel created by Chola kings.. More importantly it was under the control of the Vijayanagar King Krishnadevaraya. Later the Marathas were holding this fort for sometime. After this the Moghuls held control of this Gingee fort for a certain period. Gingee fort was controlled for some time even by the French until it came under the control of the Britishers. Visiting Gingee fort from Tiruvannamalai would definitely prove to be a rewarding experience.

DAY05 Thiruvannamalai -Pondicherry

After breakfast drive to Pondicherry and on arrival check in hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Pondicherry.A French colony until 1954, this coastal town retains a number of colonial buildings, churches, statues, and systematic town planning, as well as urban architecture of the local Tamil style. As such the town has been dubbed "The Europe of India". The town struggles to preserve what little remains of the ambiance once created by this unique mix of cultural heritage.The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a well known and wealthy ashram in India, with devotees from India and all over the world flocking to it for spiritual salvation. Its spiritual tenets represent a synthesis of yoga and modern science. The Ashram was founded in 1926 bySri Aurobindo Ghose, an Indian freedom fighter, poet, philosopher, and yogi.Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY06 Pondicherry - Chennai Airport

In time transfer to Chennai Airport for your onward Flight  with sweet Memories.
