Itenary Details

DAY01 ARRIVE KOCHI

Arrive Cochin, meet upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Kochi, or more familiarly, Cochin is a city of many parts. Around for a long, long time, Kochi played a pivotal role in the development of shipping and trade in the region. Kochi's prime location on the west coast, its fine bay and protected harbor made it popular with seafarers and merchant ships who made frequent stops to stock up on spices, coffee and wood en route to the rich markets of Europe and West Asia. And so down the ages, Kochi prospered as a busy port city and commercial centre. Its seafront is still extremely relevant to Cochin and to India: In the evening, you will be taken to a Kathakali dance centre where you will witness the most elaborate of the dance forms in southern India.Overnight Stay at hotel.

DAY02 KOCHI

After breakfast proceed for a half day city tour of Kochi visiting St.Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets, Dtuch Palace(closed on Fridays) and Jews Synagogue (closed on Fridays, Saturdays & Jew Festival days) Heralded as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, Kochi was an important spice trading centre on the west coast of India from the 14th century. Occupied by the Portuguese Empire in 1503, Kochi was the first of the European colonies in colonial India. It remained the main seat of Portuguese India until 1530, when Goa was chosen instead. The city was later occupied by the Dutch and the British, with the Kingdom of Cochi Dutch Palace The Palace was built and gifted by the Portuguese as a present to the Raja of Cochin around 1555. The Dutch carried out some extensions and renovations in the palace in 1663, and thereafter it was popularly called Dutch Palace. The rajas also made more improvements to it. Today, it is a portrait gallery of the Cochin Rajas and notable for some of the best mythological murals in India, which are in the best traditions of Hindu temple art. The palace was built to appease the king after they plundered a temple nearby. Jews Synagogue Cochin The Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest active synagogue located in Kochi Constructed in 1568, It is one of seven synagogues of the Malabar Yehudan people or Cochin Jewish community in the Kingdom of Cochin. Paradesi is a word used in several Indian languages, and the literal meaning of the term is "foreigners", applied to the synagogue because it was historically used by the typical Jews.

Chinese fishing nets (Cheena vala) are that are fixed land installations for fishing. While commonly known as "Chinese fishing nets. While such nets are used throughout coastal southern China and Indochina, in India they are mostly found in the Indian state of Kerala, where they have become a tourist attraction. DAY03 KOCHI - MUZRIS TOUR - GURUVAYUR

After breakfast proceed for visit Muziriz Heritage tour a unique initiative of Kerala Tourism, will soon be opened to the public. Kerala Tourism will now showcase the glory of the 3000-year-old Muziris port also. The Muziris Heritage Project, first of its kind in the country, is expected to turn into a major destination for cultural tourism in Kerala. Muziris was once a spice city with traders comprising Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Chinese frequented to buy and sell a variety of wares, mainly spices and clothes.Muziris, about 27 km from Kodungalloor in Thrissur district was a busy port city. The place is distinctive as it is home to India's first church, Mar Thoma Church; the first mosque, Cheraman Juma Masjid and the oldest European monument - the Portuguese fort.as part of project Muziris, the Kerala government is planning to collaborate with UNESCO.After visit proceed to Guruvayur for visit Temple and  Elephant Yard check in Hotel for overnight stay.

DAY04 GURUVAYUR - CHERUTHURUTHY- CALICUT

After Breakfast proceed to Kalamandalam school of arts and join with cultural performances.Around noon back to Hotel for Lunch then drive to Calicut en route vistiing Ayurvadic & Herbal gardens at Kottakal. A famous Ayurveda Hospital in Kerala-subject to availability for the permission and proceed to Calicut and Check in at Hotel for overnight stay.

DAY05 CALICUT – WAYANAD

After breakfast proceed for wayanad a bio-diverse region spread across 2,132 square kilometers on the lofty Western Ghats, Wayanad is one of the few districts in Kerala that has been able to retain its pristine nature. Hidden away in the hills of this land are some of the oldest tribes, as yet untouched by civilization. And the very first prehistoric engravings in Kerala discovered in the foothills of Edakkal and around Ambukuthimala bear testimony to a pre-historic culture dating back to the Mesolithic Age. Strikingly scenic, it is known for its sub-tropical savannahs, picturesque hill stations, sprawling spice plantations, luxuriant forests and rich cultural traditions. A holistic confluence of wilderness, history and culture, Wayanad is located on the southern tip of the magnificent Deccan plateau. Around  noon check in at Hotel.After Lunch proceed for visit wayanad.

Chembra Peak: At a height of 2100 metres, the towering Chembra Peak is located near Meppadi in the southern part of Wayanad. It is the tallest of peaks in the region and climbing this peak would test ones physical prowess. The climb up the Chembra Peak is an exhilarating experience,  Wayanad and the view gets wider as one goes up to its summit. Going up and coming down the peak would take a full day. Those who would like camp at the top are assured of an unforgettable experience.After visit and back to Hotel for overnight stay.

DAY06 EXPLORE WAYANAD FOR FULL DAY EXPERIENCE

Meenmutty waterfalls: Located close to Neelimala the spectacular Meenmutty falls can be reached through a 2 km trekking route from the main road connecting Ootty and Wayanad. It is the largest of waterfalls in the district of Wayanad, and adds to ones curiosity with its three stage falls dropping from about 300 metres.

Pakshipathalam :Pakshipathalam is located deep within the forest in the Brahmagiri hills at an altitude of more than 1700 metres. The region predominantly comprises large boulders, some of them really massive. The deep caves found here are home to a wide variety of birds, animals and distinctive species of plants. Pakshipathalam is located near Mananthavady and a visit to the region would require a 7 km trek through the forest, starting from Thirunelli. Visitors to Pakshipathalam are to seek permission from the DFO- North Wayanad.

Edakkal caves: Situated in the Ambukuthi Hills, 10 km from Sultan Bathery in northern Kerala, the Edakkal caves are two natural rock formations. They are believed to have been formed by a large split in a huge rock. Inside, one finds ancient stone scripts, cave drawings and pictorial wall inscriptions of human and animal figures with peculiar head dresses, the swastik forms and symbols. Archaeologists consider these as one of the earliest centres of human habitation. Similar straight line cave drawings (considered 7000 years old) have been found only in Stiriya in the European Alps and a few rocky places in Africa. The drawings at Edakkal depict the human figures, stars, wheels, bows, knives, palm trees etc. and return back to hotel for Overnight Stayat hotel.

DAY07 WAYANAD-TELLICHERRY

After Breakfast proceed to Tellicherry and on arrival check in Aisha Mansil .Rest of the day free at leisure.Overnight Stay at Aysha Manzil.

DAY08 EXPLORE TELLICHERRY FOR CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

After BreakFast proceed to witness Temple Art Programs like theyyam and other folk dances.Return to hotel for enjoy a Malabaris culinary session with Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY09 TELLICHERRY- CALICUT AIRPORT

After breakfast drive to Calicut Airport to connect Flight for your onward journey.
